Archives Policy

The most accurate and articulate instruments to present the Basque Government Archives and Documentary Heritage policy are the public budgets that are approved by the Basque Parliament on an annual basis.

These budgets are designed, managed and executed by the Office of Cultural Heritage, through the Basque Historical Archive, within the framework of specific legislation in this field, governmental programmes and initiatives promoted by cultural and social agents.

The inauguration of the Basque Historical Archive (23.01.2014) has helped to make this Archives policy more visible and approachable to the public.

This website is another way to bring our activities to the public, to familiarise them with our goals and to encourage them to share those same objectives.
